Community Involvement
We believe strong businesses build strong communities. Our community involvement grows as Bold Rays grows — giving back isn’t a campaign for us, it’s part of who we are, with our time, our skills and our platform.
Skills for good
Every year, our community involvement includes dedicated pro-bono web work for local nonprofits and grassroots projects that couldn’t otherwise afford a professional website. From charity fundraisers to community sports clubs, we donate our design and development skills where they’ll make the biggest difference — because a great website shouldn’t be a luxury.
Sharing knowledge
Our community involvement extends to education. We publish free guides, run occasional workshops and share honest, jargon-free advice to help small businesses and startups across Pakistan get more from the web. Whether it’s a crash course in SEO basics or a webinar on what makes websites convert, we love helping others level up.
Growing together
True community involvement means investing in people. We mentor aspiring designers and developers — reviewing portfolios, answering questions and opening doors — because someone once gave us our start too. When local talent thrives, the whole digital ecosystem in Pakistan gets stronger, and we’re proud to play a small part in that.
How Our Community Involvement Works
Our community involvement isn’t random — it’s intentional. Each year, we ring-fence a portion of our studio time specifically for give-back work. Our team votes on which nonprofits and community projects to support, so everyone has a say in where our skills go. From building a donation website for a flood-relief charity to rebranding a youth sports league, we treat pro-bono clients with the same care as paying ones.
We also believe in the power of open knowledge. That’s why our community involvement includes publishing practical resources anyone can use — like our beginner’s guides to WordPress, the free platform behind 40% of the web. When small businesses understand their websites better, they make smarter decisions — and the whole market rises.
Beyond structured programmes, our community involvement is also about everyday kindness — answering a quick question for a struggling freelancer, sharing a useful tool with a fellow agency, or cheering on local startups. We believe the web is better when we all lift each other up, and we try to live that value in small ways every single week.
Community Questions, Answered
How do you choose which nonprofits to help?
Our community involvement focuses on grassroots organisations where our skills have the most impact. We prioritise local nonprofits, community groups and social enterprises in Pakistan that couldn’t otherwise afford professional web design. Our team reviews applications twice a year and selects projects based on need, reach and alignment with our values. If you know a cause that deserves a better website, we’d love to hear about it.
Do you offer free workshops?
Yes! As part of our community involvement, we run free workshops and publish guides on topics like SEO basics, website speed and what makes visitors convert. These are designed for small business owners and aspiring digital professionals who want practical, jargon-free advice. Follow our blog or social channels to hear about upcoming sessions — or suggest a topic you’d like us to cover.
How can my organisation apply for pro-bono help?
If you’re a nonprofit or community group that needs web design, development or SEO help, just reach out via our contact page. Tell us about your mission, your audience and what you’re hoping to achieve online. Our community involvement programme reviews requests quarterly, and while we can’t help everyone, we read every single application and respond personally.
